​​Wayne is a very patient driving instructor who allowed me to progress at my own pace. I really appreciated how he adapted his teaching style to my needs and how he reflected on different ways of solving problems when I struggled with certain concepts. I especially liked his way of teaching parallel parking; it was so simple and easy to remember. He paid particular attention to ensuring my driving was of a high quality so that I was able to pass my test on my first attempt. On a practical note, our lessons always started on time, and the app he uses makes it very easy to book and manage lessons. I would definitely recommend Wayne as a driving instructor.

I feel so lucky to have Wayne as my driving instructor, and I highly recommend him wholeheartedly! I had been learning to drive on and off for the past four years with other instructors; however, driving was never easy for me because I’m a nervous driver and simply didn’t enjoy it. Things finally began to change when I started learning with Wayne!

Wayne is extremely professional, both in his teaching methods and in his character. He is exceptionally calm, patient and understanding. He doesn’t just give instructions, but also explains the reasoning behind each manoeuvre, which has helped me understand driving much better. In every lesson, he focuses on helping me make progress and build my confidence. I always feel fully supported during the lessons.

I’ve already booked my driving test, and I now feel fully confident that I will pass with Wayne’s guidance (this is the first time I’ve ever felt this way about driving). I originally planned to wait until after my test to write this review, but I couldn’t wait any longer because I’m so happy with my progress and feel a sense of achievement.

Wayne is without a doubt the best driving instructor in Ely! Highly recommended to everyone!

Highly recommend Wayne! He’s amazingly patient and excellent at putting you at ease. I’ve put off learning to drive for years because the idea scared me so much but Wayne was very reassuring and helped me to feel more confident behind the wheel. He made sure to teach me at my own pace so I never felt rushed and was very good at adapting the lessons to suit what I needed on the day. Even when I felt I had driven terribly he pointed out the parts I had done well and then helped me improve the bits I hadn’t. He definitely went above and beyond as my test got nearer, fitting me in for extra lessons (which I 100% recommend to help with the nerves!) and talking me through what would happen on the day (plus answering all the silly questions I had without making me feel silly at all). Definitely worked because I managed to pass first time but more importantly I feel like I can actually drive which matters more to me than the bit of paper saying I can!

Wayne is a brilliant instructor, and all-round really nice person. He really helped build my confidence and manage my nerves when driving. He is incredibly calm and understanding and very willing to help find ways of teaching which work best for you. If you are anxious about driving, I cannot recommend him enough, he's very kind and knows how to put you at ease behind the wheel. With his help I passed first time, thank you!

From the very first lesson, I felt calm and confident because every explanation was clear, friendly, and easy to understand. Even when I didn’t understand some English words, my instructor always found a way to rephrase everything so I could follow easily — and that meant a lot to me. Every lesson was positive, stress-free, and full of encouragement. Thanks to your guidance, I not only learned how to drive but also overcame my fear and gained confidence in myself. I could not recommend Wayne (WS Driving School Ely) highly enough. I had a 5 year break from driving after previously passing my test, and wanted a few refresher lessons to get my confidence back before getting back out on the road. Wayne is a fantastic teacher, very patient and gives extremely clear explanations, I felt very comfortable re-learning to drive with his guidance. I appreciated that the series of lessons were tailored to the specific skills I wanted to work on, and after just 4 lessons I now feel fully confident driving again. Lessons are convenient to book via his app, and I appreciated the evening and weekend availability which meant I could fit lessons in around full time work. Overall a fantastic experience with Wayne and would recommend him to anyone learning to drive for the first time or wanting to refresh skills.

10/10 INSTRUCTOR highly recommended!!!!!! As an older learner I struggled heavily with nerves and gaining confidence in my own abilities. Wayne was fantastic at easing my worries and gave me so much information and guidance on what's out there to get you through your journey. I can't thank him enough and most definitely recommend to all.

I am a 70 year old who has not driven for 10 years. Even when I did drive, I was nervous,found it stressful and something of a chore. I was also impatient, bordering on dangerous. Wayne at WS driving school took me back to basics with a refresher course.With carefully graded lessons I unlearned my dangerous habits such as speeding, poor lane discipline and harsh braking, to name only a few !. Wayne has made me into a safe, confident driver. I also find driving fun !. As an aside, Wayne offers tailored tuition including Night driving, Motorways,, and Country lanes, amongst others. I really cannot thank you enough!

Very happy with Wayne and WS Driving School. Wayne took my. daughter through from beginer to passing her test. explained the necessary pitfalls and smoothed off any rough edges. He has a good calm manner and clearly explained the test, how what and why. I also found it helpful that Wayne suggested you tube videos showing driving lessons and the areas you could rack up errors and APPs regarding possible driving test routes, and booking cancelled driving tests. Learning through COVID Wayne also followed health and safety recommendations.
